I almost forgot one of my favorite drawings! This is of my little winged horse baby from another RP, because I'm a professor at a magical academy (it's a Harry Potter universe RP, because we can) and I own a winged horse ranch because I've always wanted a ranch with lots of horses. This little guy is the son of the leader of my herd, Shadowfax, and a mare named Asfaloth. And, yes, I name all of my horses after movie horses (like Hidalgo, Destrier (Prince Caspain), and so on). This little guy just so happened to be Lord of the Rings themed because of his mom and dad. He's precious and adorable. And his genetics are at the bottom (because I wanted to be a horse nerd and figure out what he would be, it's great).
You cannot tell me that the winged horses only come in one color even if the websites only talk about them coming in one color, because that's not how horse genetics (or any genetics) works when you crossbreed and all that fun stuff. Okay, so... it's canon in my mind that the winged horses, if they're crosses, can come in different colors and we can have a fricking rainbow of beautiful winged horses.

Side note: Abraxans are the largest of the winged horses (we're not including Thestrals in this) and their appearance is similar to the Palomino coloring, so I used Palomino for Shadow's genetics as he is a purebred Abraxan. Brego's mother, Asfaloth, is a mix between a Granian and a regular horse (whose genetics allow for Palomino coloring as well as Appaloosa spots). Brego, eventually, will grow almost to his father's size but have his mother's speed. Granians are known as the fastest of the winged horses. (and as you can see, i was a total nerd and went all out with my precious baby boy)

Dam (Asfaloth): Gray classic cream champagne Appaloosa w/gray feathers (EE/aa/nCh/Gg)
Foal (Brego): Gray buckskin Appaloosa w/bluish-gray feathers (Ee/Aa/nCr/Gg/nLp)
